Treatment Modalities

I value a collaborative and individualized approach to therapy. Even if a treatment is evidence based, it might not be the best treatment for a particular client's needs and sometimes the best therapy-magic happens when we work together to find a flexible and maybe even outside-the-box approach.

That being said, I utilize evidence-based treatments in my practice based on my client's presenting concerns and individual factors/preferences. Most of the treatments I provide are grounded in cognitive behavioral or behavioral modalities including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E) for Eating Disorders

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for ARFID (CBT-AR)

  • Integrative Cognitive-Affective Therapy (ICAT)

  • Adolescent-focused Therapy (AFT)

  • Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)

  • Family Based Treatment (FBT)

  • Behavioral Parent Training including Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) including SPACE-ARFID and SPACE Failure to Launch

    • Specific phobias

Fees

Intake and Session Fees

  • 90-minute intake assessment session: $480

    • This is our starting place, where you tell me as much as possible about what's going on and what you're wanting to work on in therapy. Ideally by the end of this appointment I will have enough information to provide my diagnostic assessment and recommendations.

  • 45-50 minute therapy session: $240

    • This is a typical ongoing therapy session, we might meet weekly, biweekly, or another frequency depending on your needs and treatment plan.

A note about fees. Seeing a clinical psychologist means that you're working with someone who has a doctoral level of training and education. For myself that means nearly 6 years of graduate school and (unpaid) clinical training, a voluntary post-doctoral training year after grad school, and myriad hours of ongoing specialty training, consultation, and continuing education that I spend thousands of dollars and countless hours on each year. I adore my work and my clients, if I could do this for free I would but that's currently not realistic. My fees are reflective of these things, in addition to the ever increasing costs of sustaining my business and trying to make sure that my caseload stays manageable so that my clients get the care and attention they deserve. There are others who can and do provide lower cost services, including many masters level clinicians.
